This course is designed to provide the trainee with the skills and knowledge to perform in the capacity of School Resource Officer (SRO). The curriculum for this NCJA SRO Training course must be the one authored by the North Carolina Justice Academy (NCJA), and instructors must meet specific NCJA requirements. This certification-related course is designed to provide criminal justice officers with a fundamental background in the instruction of other criminal justice personnel. This course and the associated state certification are required for all instructors conducting any training mandated by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission or the North Carolina Sheriffs' Education and Training Standards Commission.
